Matchy, matchy, green squares

OK so they aren't in green, but they came out of their rooms one morning is matching orange stripes! So cute! Ace just about disappears completely!

So since I took a picture of someone, somebody else had to take a picture, but of course it had to be silly. He did about 4 poses before he said " Ok Mom, I'm ready" What a monster! Pun intended!
(The title is from one of the best movies of all time "Return to Me" If you  haven't seen it, RENT IT! You'll love it!)

Irrigation

Instead of sprinklers, most people have irrigation. To put simply, they flood their yard with water. Piper was at school and Ace was sleeping, so the rest of us went and learned what fun irrigation could be. Is it water, you should drink? NNNOOOO!! But to splash in, is a lot of fun!

Lost

Simmy and I started watching Lost on instant Netflix about 6 months ago while we were still in South Bend. But then our cable and internet was cut off and he had to put it on hold. Since we have been in Mesa and our internet and instant is back online, Sam and I retreat to our room as soon as the kids go to bed and watch episode after episode til after midnight. We love it! I am glad that we didn't watch it when it was on TV though. There is no way I could wait a whole week for a new episode!

We are starting Season 5 tonight where the "Oceanic 6" are headed back to the island. If you haven't watched Lost and are in search of something to obsess over, I would highly recommend
 "LOST"

Temple trip

We have lived 5 miles from the Mesa, Arizona temple now for 1 month and we finally made it to a session!  I hate to admit it, but it has been 4 years since I have gone. Living in South Bend our closest temple was in Chicago which was about a 2 1/2 hour drive one way. I have either been pregnant, nursing or moving the past 4 years and have not been able to go. I was so excited to go with my best friend and do some temple work for some family members.

Thank you Simmy, for taking me!You are the best!

Time out

My 3 older children would not stop fighting and whining and hitting and fighting with one another, so I sent them all to time out to just chill for a moment. 2 seconds later Acey walks over there and sits with them. I told him that he wasn't in trouble and didn't have to sit there. So he moves in front of them and starts to yell at them! Acey was just laughing and thought it was so fun. He is even laughing while I was taking the picture!  What do I do with that kid?

Thaddeus is 3. And if you have or have ever had a 3 year old, you know that the terrible two's bow down to the 3's. Well my sweet, tender-hearted, very eager to please little boy, has hit the terrible 3's! He argues with us about everything, he refuses anything we offer just to fight about it. He whines and throws fits (which he has never done). Picks on his sisters, and hits them constantly. It took Sam and I a minute to remember that he was 3 and we just up and moved cross country and he might be having a rough time, so we are trying to kill the terrible 3's with kindness. Hugs and kisses and reminding him that we love him over and over, even when he is yelling that he doesn't like me and that I'm a meany and he wont ever be nice to me, etc etc....

Any advice from those veteran mommies to 3 year old boys??

Can I still call him by baby?

In case you need us...

....we'll be outside. We are outside all day and I love it! It is hot but actually 100 degrees here is not so bad as long as you stay in the shade. Yes, it's dry heat, but 100 degrees, dry or not, is still hot, but you get used to it.

Odi can always be found with 1 or more babies playing house. Piper is usually playing house with her or helping Grandma in her garden.
Ace is so funny. He thinks Grandma's sole purpose is to take him out whenever he wants. He only thinks that cause she does. He will pull on her legs and point to the door. If you ask him if he wants to go outside he will shake his head yes and giggle. How could you say no to that?

Thaddeus, on the other had, hardly ever wants to go outside. He would rather be inside playing the computer, watching TV, or sleeping. Grandpa watches sports, Sam is on the computer and Bud is on Grandpa's tablet. At least they are all in the same room.
Ace is discovering he can go where ever he wants to go with his new found freedom. He climbs in and out of everything and climbs and stands on everything, and hangs and jumps on and off of everything.
 hahahahaha

Thanks Meme!

We received your package in the mail today! Thank you!!
Acey's shirt fits him perfectly. (Physically and hypothetically. It says "lil monster")  The girls loved their care bears and Bud hasn't put down his construction worker! Thank you for thinking of us!

He was just being cute so I took his picture!

Pumpkin time?

I LOVE Fall!!!!
Wanna know why?
PUMPKIN!!!!
I love the look, taste, smell of pumpkins! I made my first batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!! Deliciouso!!!

Sam and I ate a dozen before we realized that we should slow down! The recipe makes 40 cookies!!

Acey had one for the first time! I think I converted him too!!

Birthday Boy!!!

Just so you know, I am handling my baby turning 1 very well! Thank you for asking! He is so cute! He is such a ham! He has this scrunchy nose toothless smile. (yes he still only has 2 bottom teeth) The kids each gave him a present. Dad and I gave him some new shoes but he has been wearing those for a week or so now. He actually loved everything he was given. Good going kids!

Ace can stack blocks! Who knew? He is actually really good at it! He will shake his head yes or no to any question you ask him. He loves to play outside and get into the dirt. He has no patience when it comes to meal times. He wants his food and he wants it NOW! He walks more than he crawls and he is getting fast! He loves to be chased and tickled and loves to dance!
Sorry it's kinda blurry, but we all still look pretty happy anyway. Do you like the block on my sons head?
We have been kinda caked out with all the birthday celebration we have had all week, so we opted to just give him a single cupcake that we bought at Wal-Mart! He gobbled it all up, so I don't think he minded!

Oh my gosh he does the cutest things! I am one lucky Mommy to get 4 cute kids!

3 boys

IN the Richardson family, there are 3 boys born within a month of each other. Now that we are back in Arizona, the 3 of them can finally begin destroying the town together! I wish I could find the pictures of the 3 of them that we took the summer they we all babies, but I can't! I will keep looking though! Anyway, here they are 3 years later! They are quite a threesome!

They are all the same height. Wonder how long that will last?
Tyler, Thaddues, and Eli!

Family Party

So in the month of September, we had 5 family members birthday's. Sam's oldest brother Scott, Sam's sister Becca, Ace, my nephew in law Brady, and my neice's baby Amelia. 2 of them were not at the party but we made a cake and added up everyone's birthday's and it came to 99. Becca and Amelia share the 20th and Brady and Ace share the 24th.

SURPRISE!

I got a call from my brother in law Ryan saying he wanted to throw his wife (Sam's sister) a surprise party and he needed my help. Of course I was all over it! We had a great time!

I love Terra's (one in red) face!

If you notice the cake has 1 candle on it. She was turning 33, but her husband only bought one "3". hehe

Sports with Grandpa

Balloon Fight

Sam's brother Scott and his wife Terra came down for the weekend from Utah and my kids fell in love with uncle Scooter and Aunt Terra! Even Acey was warming up to them!  After the Balloon Fight though, it bumped them up to the #1 spot!
